Baby is as many weeks old as I am years old. They grow up so fast!
You can see I’m getting lazy and wearing my hair curly more often than not. This means it’s sticking straight out most of the time.
My parentals came to Milwaukee for a little 30th anniversary getaway Friday, then on Saturday offered to come help us around the house (a.k.a. home improvement adventure picks up where it left off last time my mom was here). My mom and I painted our sunroom while the boys did some outdoor work (my dad stained between the cracks of our deck, which we neglected to do when we stained our deck earlier this summer simply because we got tired of staining and stopped caring). More about the sunroom later this week (it didn’t quite turn out how I was expecting…)
It was nice spending time with my parents. They were excited to see that I actually look pregnant now. This is definitely a nice stage of pregnancy to be in: I look pregnant, but still fit in non-maternity clothes and can function relatively normally.
Other recent side effects:
- Itchy, dry eyes. I’ve worn my glasses about half the days of the past two weeks.
- Discomfort getting in and out of my car, which is really low to the ground.
- Stuffy nose/sneezing (this has plagued me for all of the second trimester).
- Intense panting after walking up the stairs to the fourth floor at work every morning. But I am determined to continue taking the stairs.
All in all, not too shabby. I weighed in at +13 pounds at my appointment on Tuesday. I am starting to feel the weight, but it’s not too trying (yet).
